The Pathway to
Purposeful Partnership
From our vetting process and Strategic Solution Sessions to our quarterly gatherings, discover the structured ways we connect leaders with ministry opportunities.
The Foundation of Trust: Our Ministry Vetting Process
Trust is the foundation of every effective partnership. To ensure our partners can engage with confidence, every potential ministry opportunity is first reviewed by our dedicated Vetting Committee, which is composed of experienced Barnabas partners.
This committee works closely with ministry leaders in a collaborative process that can include strategic tools like a SWOT Analysis. Their primary role is to help the ministry fine-tune its case for support, clearly articulate its challenges and solutions, and identify the most meaningful opportunities for partner engagement. This involves providing positive, forward-thinking feedback and helping leaders challenge their own assumptions to find new ways to tackle their toughest problems.
Only after this rigorous and supportive process is a ministry considered for a presentation at our quarterly forums. This ensures that every opportunity presented is built on a foundation of trust, clarity, and strategic alignment. Serving on the Vetting Committee is a powerful way for partners to use their strategic gifts to make a foundational impact before a ministry even reaches the main stage.
Focused Impact: Strategic Solution Sessions (S3)
Our Strategic Solution Sessions (S3) are a primary way Barnabas Group partners provide timely advice and support to ministries facing specific challenges or opportunities. These sessions are designed to be a high-impact, low-commitment way for leaders to offer their professional expertise where it is needed most, helping ministries overcome specific hurdles to growth and sustainable success.
An S3 is typically a focused, two-hour virtual meeting where a small team of partners convenes to act as a “Board of Advisors” for a ministry leader. The entire session is dedicated to grappling with a single, significant issue, which could range from operational challenges and marketing strategy to board development or a “big-holy-audacious-goal.” This format allows for a deep dive into a specific problem, leveraging the collective wisdom and experience in the room.
The goal is to provide the ministry leader with fresh perspectives, actionable solutions, and the encouragement that comes from knowing seasoned leaders are in their corner. These sessions are a powerful and rewarding way for our partners to engage their unique marketplace skills in a targeted format that creates an immediate and tangible impact.
Where Connection Sparks Impact: Our Quarterly Gatherings
Our Quarterly Impact Gatherings are the centerpiece of The Barnabas Group experience, bringing our community of partners and their guests together for an evening of connection and purpose. These gatherings are designed as a forum for high-impact leaders to network, encourage one another, and actively engage in advancing God’s Kingdom.
The highlight of each gathering is our ministry presentations, which operate on a unique principle we call “Flip the Script.” Instead of asking for financial donations, we invite ministry leaders to ask for something more valuable: the strategic engagement of our partners. They present their specific challenges and opportunities, inviting you to get involved with your time, talent, and networks. This approach creates powerful and tangible ways for you to make a difference.
These gatherings are where our mission truly comes to life, and we encourage you to share this experience by bringing a like-minded business leader as your guest. Introducing someone new is a powerful way to expand our collective impact. Attending a gathering is the best way to discover our unique model and find both your place, and theirs, in the story.
